In the spring of 1949 a legion of sick and suffering people streamed into the Westphalia city of Herford. During the autumn of that same year, up to 30,000 people a day were drawn to the Traberhof in Rosenheim. They all had but one goal: Bruno Gröning.

For many he was their last hope. Beaten down by the war, given up by doctors, these people only know one wish: to become healthy. Bruno Gröning was to help them. The inconceivable happened - innumerable sick people became healthy. This touches people' emotions in post war Germany. Healing the spiritual way got a face and was in everybody' mouth. Even some physicians dared to take the step to ask him for help for their patients where their know -how had come to an end. To others he was a thorn in the eye and they though they had to fight him. Then as now minds are divided about this man.

It is thus the aim of this film to objectively retrace the events around the Bruno Gröning Phenomenon and to truly represent it through authentic reportage.Over 2,000 people participated in it, as actors, extras or on the film team. In more than nine years since 1995 over 70 hours of film material were shot. In various ways, including through re -enactments, original documents, extensive film passages, photos, TV excerpts from that time, weekly news reel reports, newspaper articles and, last, but not least, over 50 contemporary witness reports furnish an extensive documentation of his life stages and his work.

The film was produced through the Grete Häusler GmbH and is now shown by the Kreis für natürliche Lebenshilfe e.V.

All collaborators of the Grete Häusler GmbH, including the business administration fulfil their tasks without remuneration, i.e. for idealistic reasons without any personal salary. This documentary film was also produced only through donations and unpaid collaboration.
